Service charge
The service charge is a commission that the ticketing platform adds to the base ticket price for the use of the system. It can be assumed by the buyer (added to the total) or the organizer (deducted in the settlement) and covers operation, processing, and maintenance, distinct from taxes and gateway commission. It is usually configured as fixed, percentage, or mixed, varies by channel (online/ticket office), type of ticket, or price range, and is displayed transparently at checkout. A clear policy avoids complaints, improves the perception of value, and facilitates cost comparison.
